Our Home at the historic 1896 Lounsbury House
This stately Main Street mansion was built in 1896 by a former governor of Connecticut, Phineas C. Lounsbury. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Lounsbury House is one of Ridgefield’s greatest assets. A rare example of turn-of-the-century architecture, it enhances the beauty of our town and is truly considered one of Ridgefield’s town treasures.

A message from Di Masters, our Executive Director
Shake a leg; why everybody is doing it. That’s right dancing. Let’s face it; it’s good for your heart and good for your soul. Since the blockbuster TV sensation, “Dancing with the Stars” came into our homes and made it seem so easy, ballroom dancing, steamy Latin moves and high energy swing has returned and it is way more fun than swaying side to side. During the month of February there will be dancing opportunities all over Ridgefield as one of our sister organizations gears up for their annual fun filled Gala, what else, the RSO Dancing with the Stars.
The Community Center is hosting a “learn to dance fundraiser “on February 23rd from 6-7:30 for only $15, with the proceeds going to the RSO. Don’t miss my dance partner, that’s right, I am one of the contestants this year and Morten, the national dance champion of Denmark, who will be on hand to lead you straight into the world of dance. On February 10th Fred Astaire Studios on Route 7 in Branchville is also hosting “Rainbow Room Night”, of learning and dancing, with proceeds going to RSO.
If you have an upcoming event where the music will be playing, this is the month to take advantage of these fabulous opportunities. This could be the start of many more dancing nights at RCC.
Reserve your 2012-2013 wedding between now and April 1, 2012 and enjoy 15% off our current rates. Call us now at 203 438-6962 for all the detail.
Warmest regards,
